Agriculture company Vandamme opts for a quality boost with new cooling

Edward Vandamme helped from a young age on the family business in Woumen (Diksmuide) in Belgium. Since 2013 he has been in the company together with his two uncles Bart and Filip. In the meantime, wife Annelies has also taken that step. The company focuses on non-intensive arable vegetables for the industry. In addition to potatoes, also carrots, kohlrabi, yellow turnip and spinach. They grow green beans and onions for the fresh market. The storage capacity consists of 1.700 tons of potatoes, 700 tons of onions and 3.000 tons of carrots.

Condenser drying of onions on Goeree-Overflakkee

At Goeree-Overflakkee, Tolsma-Grisnich has realised a storage facility for the drying and storing of various types of onions. The hall provides room for a total of 1,500 boxes spread across six compartments. The storage facility is filled several times during the season, which requires a system with sufficient drying capacity to cope with continuous drying, irrespective of weather conditions and at low energy costs.

Project Germany

Tolsma-Grisnich realised an automated, integrated filling installation capable of filling four 1,250 ton cells using a fully automated process at a storage and packaging business in Germany.

Project featured: Mts. Leber processing line and storage

Mts. Leber opted for a complete processing line for seed and table potatoes. The company of Mts. Leber is a good example of an innovative entrepreneurial company. The young entrepreneur has a mixed business with arable crops (growing, storage and processing) and broiler chickens.
